Lecture Description

Under the title "Quo Vadis Digital Logistics? Use of data-based process mining to optimize logistic processes" the challenges that long-established structures in intralogistic work processes between incoming goods and shipping bring are examined. These structures are often inefficient and therefore expensive, as well as highly susceptible to economic fluctuations. By using process mining, it becomes possible to break down the merchandise management processes into their digital components. This makes it visible how complex, varied, and error-prone the processes actually are and what the reasons for this are. This truth is clearly demonstrated through process tracking information from IT systems. Using reference processes as an industry standard and using a special mathematical model based on the principles of the Six-Sigma method, it becomes possible to objectively evaluate the process. A short presentation followed by an expert panel thus offers a comprehensive insight into the world of process mining and shows how companies can optimize their intralogistic work processes.
