GoGreen CO₂ Audit – Create a CO2 footprint for your trade fair appearance!

Trade fairs are the platforms of the future

Looking at the world of tomorrow, it becomes clear how important it is to strike a balance between economic growth and social responsibility. We need to actively embody sustainability and climate protection, and integrate the values into economic life.

Take the first step and have a carbon footprint of your future trade show appearance created

With the GoGreen Audit, you have the opportunity to make a climate protection contribution for the emissions generated. This is done quickly, easily and efficiently by supporting certified carbon offset projects of our partner myclimate. As a renowned organization, they drive top-quality projects worldwide that promote measurable climate protection and sustainable development.

Show how well business and climate protection go together and motivate your customers and interlocutors to follow your example. The next date for transport logistic is June 2 to 5, 2025, and we look forward to walking the path to a greener future together. Thank you for your commitment!

Climate change is a global and generation-wide challenge that we must also face as a company. Our exhibition grounds already feature many environmentally friendly facets, from geothermal energy and photovoltaics to large scale greening. As Messe München, we want to strengthen our "green footprint" and be CO₂ neutral by 2030 at the latest. That's why we're also appealing to our visitors, exhibitors and partners to behave in an environmentally friendly manner and take an important step toward a more sustainable future together with us.

You can use the integrated tracking number to see which project your climate protection contribution is going to at any time – for more confidence in your commitment to climate neutrality.

Avoiding emissions

In addition to the GoGreen CO₂ Audit, there will be further opportunities for you to avoid emissions, save raw materials and protect the environment during your trade fair appearance at transport logistic 2023.

Climate protection on site

  • Sustainable fair construction: the “WOODï” stand concept by our partner meplan impresses with, for example, regional production and environmentally friendly features.
  • Walking with a good conscience: less corridor carpets and high rates of textile reuse support the deliberate use of resources.

Environmentally friendly infrastructure

  • Climate-friendly journey: with transport logistic’s special event ticket for Deutsche Bahn your travel will be low emission. And thanks to the trade fair center’s excellent public transport connections to Munich, you will always be right in the middle of the action.
  • Green refueling on site: 100stations are available on the exhibition grounds for charging your electric vehicle.
  • Cleanly separated: strict recycling makes transport logistic even more sustainable. Therefore, we take the waste produced from construction and dismantling to recycling as commercial waste. In this way, recyclable materials can be returned to the economic cycle.

Value and conserve paper

  • Less is more: Continuous reduction of the number and circulation of print products and increasingly rely on digital advertising media.
  • Well printed: Cooperation’s with printing companies that commit to the principle of sustainability and use environmentally friendly FSC-certified paper.
  • Read and share: Avoiding of waste by offering trade show participants the possibility to deposit brochures and flyers in collection bins (e. g. at the exits), thus making them available to other interested parties.

Combined forces

  • Climate-conscious catering: Cooperation’s with suppliers who rely on local supply chains.
  • Sustainability. Our common attitude: Support and live our Code of Conduct of transport logistic 2023.

Our project selection—our responsibility

Your contribution to climate protection is made by supporting the high-quality myclimate climate protection projects, which meet the highest standards (Gold Standard, Plan Vivo) and, in addition to reducing greenhouse gases, demonstrably make a positive contribution to sustainable development locally and regionally. The collected GoGreen climate protection contributions are divided between the following regional and international climate protection projects.

Clean drinking water for schools and households in Uganda

The primary objective of the program is to disseminate water purification systems to low-income households and institutions such as schools, starting in Uganda. Carbon finance is used to give households access to the clean water technologies thereby improving the livelihoods and health conditions of thousands of people and at the same time reducing CO₂ emissions by reducing the consumption of non-renewable firewood and charcoal.

Situation without project:
Water purification by boiling with non-renewable wood and charcoal

Yearly CO₂ reduction:
61.399 t

Your support contributes to the following 8 Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG1—No poverty
Over 130 tons of firewood can be saved by a school on average per water filtration system.

SDG 3—Good Health
More than 210,000 pupils benefit from the installed systems.

SDG 4—Quality Education
Thanks to clean drinking water, pupils are ill less often and can attend school more regularly.

SDG 6—Clean water and sanitary facilities
One school can treat 457,000 litres of drinking water per year.

SDG 12—Responsible consumption and production
354 water filter tanks and water treatment filters have been installed so far.

SDG 13—Climate Actions
50,000 tonnes of CO₂ are saved per year.

SDG 15—Life on land
1,266 hectares of forest saved from deforestation.

SDG 17—Partnerships for the goals
Development, transfer and distribution of environmentally friendly water treatment technology.

Forest conversion in Bavarian forests towards climate-tolerant mixed forests

The main objective of this climate protection program is the conversion of Bavarian forest areas to climate-tolerant mixed forests. The following activities are undertaken by the Bavarian State Forests:

  • Planting of trees as part of the conversion of forests towards climate-tolerant mixed forests (such as silver fir, larch, beech, oak, Douglas fir)
  • Preliminary work for professional planting, such as plant provisioning, quality assurance, protection and maintenance measures
  • New planting of additional forests does not take place - the plantings rather support the forest reconstruction
  • The funding supports in particular complex plantations, which are characterized by special protection, intensive care or by special tree species or tree species mixtures.

SDG 3—Good Health

SDG 6—Clean water and sanitary facilities

SDG 13—Climate Actions

SDG 15—Life on land

Circular Economy Through Plastic Recycling in Romania

This carbon offset project promotes the recycling of used PET bottles and other plastic waste. The PET flakes and granulate obtained from the recycling process are reused, for example, in the packaging industry or for insulation in the construction sector. As a result, resources are saved and the burden on the climate is reduced.

Situation without project:
Production of plastic from virgin (fossil) materials

Yearly CO₂ reduction:
58.000 t

Your support contributes to the following 6 Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG 4—Quality education
More than 50,000 school pupils have taken part in the awareness campaigns to date. “Circular economy partnerships” are being established with cities and communities.

SDG 5—Gender equity
GreenTech places particular importance on equality. Many female employees work in management positions right up to the CEO leadership level.?

SDG 8—Decent work and economic growth
GreenTech and GreenFiber employ 1,142 staff members. They are the biggest employers in the city of Buzău and offer many people from disadvantaged backgrounds training and employment.

SDG 11—Sustainable cities and communities
Nearly 100,000 tonnes of used plastic, primarily PET bottles, are entered into the recycling process and kept away from landfill or incineration each year.

SDG 12—Responsible consumption and production
Each year GreenTech produces 65,000 PET flakes, which are used to manufacture new products.

SDG 13—Climate action
Through its activities, the company prevents nearly 60,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year.
